Early in 2011 I posted an article about the crystal brand officially launching Swarovski Aura Perfume.  It seemed like each time I tried to locate a purchasing source, I could only find them in the European market.  Perhaps it was FDA approval delay or issues with importing, who only knows.

In any case, today, I received an email from Swarovski announcing that the Swarovski Aura Perfume is stocked in some Swarovski Boutiques here in the USA!  In the email, there is a coupon to receive a complimentary “mini spray” of Aura by Swarovski.  The coupon is valid April 1 thru 15, 2012 in participating stores.

If you are a Swarovski fanatic and are interested in visiting a Swarovski Boutique for more information, the Swarovski Beauty website has a link to locate the various “points of sale” for Aura by Swarovski.  Simply select a city from the predefined list, and stores in that area will display with phone numbers and physical addresses.

The Swarovski Beauty web site also contains an Interview with Markus Langes-Swarovski, Swarovski Crystal Board of Directors about the conception and future of the Aura Perfume by Swarovski.

The Kristall Buzz contains several posts over the past year about the Swarovski Aura, so enjoy reading them for more information!

Swarovski has previously worked together with other companies to put other scents in luxury bottles, such as Tresor, Yves St Laurent, Jewel, Roma, and Madame Gres.

My Swarovski magazine arrived about a week ago, and yesterday I found the time to open and read it.  This is the 2nd edition of 2011 with a picture of the Swarovski NLE Bald Eagle on the front of it.  About halfway thru the magazine was an article / 4 page ad about the “Aura by Swarovski” perfume.

The article is an interview with family member Markus Langes-Swarovski, who is a member of the Swarovski board.  He goes into some detail about ‘bringing the brand to life beyond crystal’ and how this was a vision that the original Swarovski generations would approve of.

Swarovski and the Clarins Fragrance Group entered into a relationship in 2003 that would ultimately allow the vision to become a reality.  In 2011, this magical launch would finally come to pass.  This introduction of Aura included Fragrance bottles filled with pink Aura perfume, a Make-Up Jewel containing lip gloss or balm, and shimmering body cream.

Of course, by now, Swarovski is hosting a web site specifically for this new product line.  The web site is www.SwarovskiBeauty.com. In addition to the above mentioned products, the web site also mentions perfumed shower gel and perfumed deodorant spray.

Curious about the Aura scent?  Great news for Swarovski crystal collectors, there is a sample inside the magazine!  If for some reason your magazine has not arrived, it appears that web site surfers (of SwarovskiBeauty.com) can request a free sample of the perfume (for certain countries).

The Swarovski magazine indicates that Aura will be available at selective perfumeries, department stores, and Swarovski Boutiques.  I’ve looked around on the internet and not found it available anywhere in the USA.  When I tried to find prices for the various product offerings, I did not find them listed in USD.

The Swarovski Aura bottles are made of glass and metal, topped with asymmetrical Swarovski crystalcomponents attached to the bottle.  The Swarovski Aura perfume inside is pink in color.

I’ve written several other postings on the Kristall Buzz about this new perfume:

I’ll post an update with store names or boutiques once I can confirm that it can be purchased or shipped within the USA.

Over the last couple months, I’ve posted a few times about a new perfume called Aura by Swarovski:

Yesterday, I found a video on YouTube about the making of the Swarovski Aura Video.

Swarovski wrote this with the video upload:

It is early morning. Day is dawning, nature is bathed in the glow of sunrise. A woman of incomparable, shimmering beauty is struck by the first rays of light. Gracefully, she rises and moves towards the light.

Clasped in her hand is a glimmering make-up jewel, which she holds like a treasure. The bottle appears as a column of pure light, and the crystal that crowns it becomes the source of burgeoning, luminous sensation.
Symbolizing the awakening senses, continually emerging beauty and timeless femininity, the film “Aura by Swarovski” is unforgettable, because it strikes a deep emotional cord.

In all cultures, sunrise bears a message of great hope: each day, life is reborn, and anything becomes possible. In the background, mountains evoke Swarovski’s roots in the Tyrol.

According to Swarovski in their Aura by Swarovski cover story, Aura is available in select boutiques in Europe and Asia.  While it will eventually be available in USA, no time frame was provided.

Swarovski’s involvement in the fashion industry has been obvious for years with their trendy jewelry lines.  It is not at all surprising to find them reviving interest with perfume and cosmetics.

The crystal brand was previously involved with other limited edition Swarovski perfume in the past two decades:

  • Swarovski Tresor, limited editions in 1994, 1995-96, and 1997.
  • Swarovski Yves St Laurent, limited editions in 1996 and 1998.
  • Swarovski Jewel Perfume, limited edition in 1997.
  • Swarovski Roma in 1997 with limited distribution in the European community.
  • Swarovski Madame Gres (three different bottles), limited editions in 2003.

If you are a Swarovski collector who enjoys Swarovski Perfume bottle containers, Crystal Exchange America does have some available.

Swarovski and Clarins entered into a licensing agreement in 2008, and Swarovski Aura is the first scent to launch. I recently found a publicity video for Swarovski Aura on YouTube:
The Swarovski Aura bottles are made of glass and metal, topped with a single faceted asymmetrical Swarovski crystal.  The Swarovski Aura perfume inside the glass bottle is pink in color.  It appears that the bottle will be available in 2 different sizes with refill bottles of the perfume available.

It is reported that Swarovski Aura should be available in some 500 Swarovski stores when the perfume is fully launched at all channels.

In 2006, Swarovski and Clarins previously worked together commemorating fragrance Angel’s 15th anniversary.
The crystal brand company has created other limited edition Swarovski perfume bottles in the past.
  • Swarovski Tresor in 1994, 1995-96, and 1997, limited edition of 5,000 or 10,000.
  • Swarovski Yves St Laurent in 1996 and 1998, limited edition of less than 6300 issues.
  • Swarovski Jewel Perfume in 1997, limited edition of 10,000.
  • Swarovski Roma in 1997 with limited distribution in the European community.
  • Swarovski Madame Gres (three different bottles) in 2003, limited edition of 5,000 (per bottle) .

If you are a Swarovski collector who enjoys Swarovski Perfume bottles, Crystal Exchange America does have some of them available.

Swarovski and Clarins have come together in a combined perfume venture.  Swarovski Aura should be available very soon.  The inspiration was “all the grace and the magnetism of light,” according to Joël Palix, president of Clarins Fragrance Group.  Conceptually, Aura attempts to express the soul of crystal, which is light, says Markus Langes-Swarovski, a member of the Swarovski board and the great-great grandson of the company’s founder, Daniel Swarovski.

The Swarovski Aura bottles are made of glass and metal, topped with asymmetrical Swarovski crystal components attached to the bottle.  The Swarovski Aura perfume inside is pink in color.  It appears that the bottle will be available in 2 different sizes with refill bottles of the perfume available.

It is reported that there will be a Swarovski Aura launching event in Selfridges on March 3, 2011.  From what I could tell, Selfridges is a (department) store in the UK.  At the event, Swarovski will also unveil some pendants with makeup hidden inside them (lip gloss and balm).  Long term, it is reported that Swarovski Aura should be available in some 500 Swarovski stores.
Swarovski and Clarins worked together in 2006 when the limited edition Angel Perfume bottle was developed commemorating fragrance Angel’s 15th anniversary.

The crystal brand company has created other Swarovski perfume bottles in the past.  There was Swarovski Tresor in 1994, 1995-96, and 1997.  Each container was a limited edition Swarovski bottle (5,000 or 10,000 depending on the bottle).  There was Swarovski Yves St Laurent in 1996 and 1998.  Each container was a limited edition Swarovski bottle of less than 6300 issues.  In 1997, there was a Swarovski Jewel Perfume bottle, limited edition of 10,000.  There was a Swarovski Roma bottle in 1997 with limited distribution in the European community.  There were three different Swarovski Madame Gres bottles in 2003, each bottle being a limited edition of 5,000 bottles.  If you are a Swarovski collector who enjoys Swarovski Perfume containers, Crystal Exchange America does have them available.
